In short

KadrX LLC ("KadrX", "we") builds a platform for TV operators: the ArmPlay app for phones, set-top boxes and TVs, and the server side that runs the operator's service. The TV service itself is provided by your operator: it issues your account, defines channels and plans, takes payment and is responsible for the content. KadrX has no content of its own: it does not host, select or distribute content. We process only the data without which the app cannot work with your operator's service and the operator cannot help you. The app has no ads. Data is not sold and is not shared with advertising or analytics services.

This policy covers the ArmPlay app from app stores (Google Play, the App Store, and the Samsung, LG and Hisense TV app stores) and the kadrx.net website. If an operator installs the app on its own set-top boxes itself, the operator describes how data is processed on them.

Who is responsible for what

  • The operator decides why and how subscriber data is processed: it has the contract with you and manages accounts, subscriptions and payment. For questions about your data held by the operator, contact the operator directly.
  • KadrX is a processor: it processes data on the operator's behalf and instructions so that the app and the server side work. KadrX is independently responsible only for crash reports (see below) and for data you give us directly: through the kadrx.net website or by email to support.
  • Content (channels, recordings, films) belongs to its rights holders and is connected by the operator. Subscription and payment data is also held by the operator. KadrX does not own content, does not select it and does not sell subscriptions.

What data the app processes

  • Account. Operator code, login and password when you sign in. Your login may be an email address you provide when signing up. The password is sent to the operator for verification and is not stored in the app.
  • Device number. The operator uses it to count how many devices use one subscription and to show you your device list. On Android it is a hash of the system device ID; on iPhone, a random number the app creates once; on Samsung TVs, the TV's own number (DUID); on other TVs, the number provided by the TV system, or, if the system does not provide one, a random number created by the app. Advertising identifiers are not used.
  • Device details. Platform, model, app version, language, connection type (Wi‑Fi, cable, mobile network) and the app section that is open, so you can recognise your device in the list and the operator knows what it is helping with.
  • Subscription. Plan, expiry and section access come from the operator and are shown in Profile.
  • History, favourites and shared settings. The operator stores your watch history, favourites, the "Watch later" list, "Remind me" marks, the points where you stopped, and the app language and appearance. This lets your viewing and these settings carry over between the devices on your account.
  • App state for operator support. While you use the app, it tells your operator what is playing (channel, recording or film and position), the player state, applied settings and recent errors. The app log (technical records of what happened: requests, errors, switches) goes to the operator at its request; on the phone you can also send the log yourself via "Share". On Samsung, LG and Hisense TVs your operator may request a picture describing the app's state: it is a drawn summary (section, what is playing, settings, errors), not a screenshot; no video or screen image is included.

Remote control of the app

To help you without calls or visits, the operator from its panel, and you yourself from a phone signed in to the same account, can:

  • restart the app, sign it out, clear its temporary files;
  • start a channel, recording or film, pause, resume, seek;
  • lock the screen (with a message) and unlock it;
  • turn the set-top box off and on (and the TV via HDMI‑CEC), including on a timer;
  • change settings: language, viewer mode, smoothness, video quality, kids' schedule.

The app does not execute received code and does not install software.

Consent

By signing in or signing up you agree to the processing described here; this is stated on the sign-in screen. The TV sign-in screen immediately shows a code for signing in from your phone; to do this, it sends the device number and model to the operator before you sign in. You can withdraw consent by signing out (Profile → "Sign out") or deleting your account (see "Account deletion"). After signing out, the app stops reporting anything about itself to the operator. The exception is the code on the TV sign-in screen: while that screen is open, the operator receives the device number and model.

What we do not collect

  • Name, address, date of birth or phone number, unless you gave them to the operator yourself when signing up.
  • Your location.
  • Contacts, photos, files or messages.
  • Advertising identifiers.

The app contains no analytics or advertising systems (Google Analytics, Firebase, Yandex Metrica or similar). Logs go only to your operator or to whoever you send them to yourself.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, the ArmPlay platform (KadrX LLC) receives a technical report. Reports come from the app on phones and set-top boxes and from the TV version. A report contains: the error type and its place in the code, technical device details (model or TV browser type, system version, screen, memory, language), the app version and a random installation number created by Sentry. Access keys are removed from addresses; login, password, email and screenshots are not sent. Reports are received by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.); the data is stored in the European Union for no longer than 90 days. Reports are used only to fix errors.

Third-party services

The app connects directly to these services:

  • Sentry — crash reports, see the section above.
  • Image services. Images (covers) may be loaded directly from external image services: they see only the connection address.
  • Google ML Kit. On Android, the code on the TV screen is recognised on the phone itself by the Google ML Kit library: the image is not sent, but Google may receive technical information about how the library works.

Permissions

  • Internet for the app to work.
  • Camera on the phone only, and only to read the code on the TV screen to sign in on the TV. Images are not saved or sent anywhere.
  • Notifications on the phone only, and only if you allow them. The app reminds you of a programme you marked "Remind me" (including on a TV signed in to the same account), of your subscription ending soon and of a film you did not finish. Reminders are scheduled by the phone itself: there is no notification server. They arrive at the exact time and are restored after the phone restarts. To turn them off — Profile → "Notifications".
  • Device administrator on Android set-top boxes and TVs: only the "turn off screen" right. The system asks for it the first time the device is turned off remotely: from a phone or from the operator's panel.
  • TV information and remote buttons on Samsung, LG and Hisense TVs: model, version, device number and remote button presses in the app.

Location, the microphone, contacts and files are not needed and are not requested.

Where data is stored

  • On phones and set-top boxes, account access keys are kept in the system's secure storage (Keystore on Android, Keychain on iPhone; on iPhone the keychain may be kept even after the app is uninstalled). On Samsung, LG and Hisense TVs they are kept in the app's own storage, which other apps cannot access. Access keys are erased when you sign out.
  • The device number is not a secret.
  • Settings are kept on the device; the language and appearance are also synced with your account.
  • The account, history, favourites, "Watch later", "Remind me" marks, resume points, language and appearance, device list and submitted logs are stored on the operator's and the platform's servers. Where the servers are located depends on the operator.
  • Communication with the platform servers is encrypted (HTTPS); with some operators, video streams may be delivered unencrypted.

Who receives data

Account and device data is received by your operator and the KadrX platform its service runs on. Data may be seen by operator and KadrX staff who need it for support, and only to that extent. Data is not shared with or sold to advertising or analytics services. Third-party services the app connects to directly are listed under "Third-party services". We may disclose data where the law requires it.

Payment

The app does not take payments and never sees card details. On Samsung, LG and Hisense TVs, the "Renew subscription" button (if the operator has enabled it) shows a QR code: payment is made on your phone with the operator. Editions from Google Play and the App Store have no in-app purchases and no such button. After payment the app learns the new subscription expiry from the operator.

How long data is kept

Access keys stay on the device until you sign out or uninstall the app (for iPhone, see "Where data is stored"). Logs and device state are kept by the operator for as long as needed for support, then deleted. Crash reports are kept for no longer than 90 days. The account is kept by the operator under the rules of its service.

Account deletion

In the phone app: Profile → "Delete account". The TV and set-top box apps have no such option: delete the account from a phone signed in to the same account, or write to support@kadrx.net. The account is anonymised, all sessions and devices are disconnected, and paid days are forfeited. Payment records are kept by the operator for as long as the law requires. Details: account deletion.

Your rights

You can sign out, delete your account, and request access to, correction or deletion of your data at any time. For account data contact the operator; for data you gave us directly, write to us.

Children

The app is not intended for independent use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data about them. Kids' mode is set up by the adult account holder.

The kadrx.net website

  • Demo request. You provide a name, company, contact and message. We use them only to reply and keep them while we correspond with you.
  • Server log. Like any website, the server records the connection address, time and requested page. These records protect against failures and attacks and are kept for no longer than 30 days.
  • The app demo on the site runs on a fictional operator. Your demo sign-in is kept in your browser (you can clear it with the "Сбросить демо" (Reset demo) button), and the site server keeps the demo state in memory without saving it. The phone demo may load an icon (emoji) font from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com); Google then sees the connection address.
  • There are no advertising or analytics trackers on the site.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. We will announce significant changes in the app or on the site.
